Christmas Cookies!

Tonight we took Morgan over to her Grandma's house to make Christmas cookies for the first time!

she LOVED it!

Grandma let her put her own sprinkles on..and didn't even blink an eye when they got everywhere!  You could feel sprinkles crunching under your feet when you walked by the table!

But really, how can you say no to such a sweet grandbaby?!

Morgan's 1st Christmas cookie

And then she got to eat it!

And she loved that part too!

And here's Bailey...just cuz she's so darn cute!

I feel so blessed that my girls get to grow up so close to their Grandma, and that they get to begin to build what will be such a loving, fun, relationship right from the beginning of their lives!

Getting Crunchier Every Day!

I would definitely not call myself a hippie by any means,  But I often find myself thinking that sometimes I'd like to be.  I wish I was one of those moms that made their own baby food, or one of those moms that cooked amazing, fresh, organic foods for every single meal, the mom that recycled everything to help "save" the planet, or wore my babies in a sling everywhere we went.  It such a nice image and I know that a lot of these "hippy" or "crunchy" ways may seems strange to some but they really are pretty intriguing and I figure there's no harm in trying some them out :)

My first step to becoming a bit more "hippy"

Cloth diapers!  Yes, you read correctly..cloth diapers..but these aren't the cloth diapers your grandparents used to use.  There are no rubber covers or sticking little ones with pins.  There are now super easy cloth diapers.  Oh, and did I mention they're ADORABLE!

Sooo cute right?!

Not only am I saving money but I'm also saving the environment, I'm not putting irritating chemicals on my babies bottoms, they're really really soft, and Morgan and Bailey basically look like the most precious girls ever when they wear them!

Are these not the cutest girls you've ever laid your eyes on?!

Some may call me crazy but I think I'm becoming a bit obsessed!

Next step...I think I may just do a bit of research on making our own baby food for Bailey...We have about a month before she starts solids...this could be quite the adventure!

It Was Worth It

I decided yesterday at 3:30pm that I wanted to have Christmas pictures done of the girls.  I called the portrait studio to see if they had any appointments available and what do you know they tell me they have an opening at 5:30pm that night.  Of course, in typical Andrea fashion, I got totally impatient and set the appointment!

Bad idea!

Jeremiah was at work so it was just me attempting to get together 3 outfits for each girl..not an easy task!  Then I realized I didn't have shoes to go with their Christmas dresses and I was going to have to stop somewhere to buy some.

An hour and a half later I had both girls loaded in the car and we were on our way!

Morgan wanted nothing to do with pictures, she kept trying to rip all the ornaments off of the tree, and she was getting ticked when the photographer would show her a toy and take it away thinking it would make her smile...she obviously doesn't know Morgan very well!

I spent 2 hours chasing Morgan, changing the girls into 6 different outfits, and  I thought for sure we didn't get any good shots.

But of course I have the most beautiful girls in the whole world and this is how they turned out

Amazing and completely worth all the hard work.

Thanksgiving

What an absolutely amazing Thanksgiving!  It started off a little bitter sweet because Bogus got enough snow to open today so Jeremiah had to work.  At first I was upset, of all days to open did it seriously have to be today?  I stopped myself though, how long have we been waiting for this job?  This was a blessing, and although I would have loved to have Jeremiah with us all day, seeing Morgan's face light up when her daddy got home made up for it a hundred times!

Today I'm grateful for amazing family, incredible friends, great food, happy, healthy babies, and more love in my life then I could ever ask for!  I truly am blessed!

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

Don't Forget About Me Mom!

Tonight I let Bailey try out her exersaucer at Grandma's house and I think she enjoyed it!

She got a little confused at first and lost her arms

Don't worry though, she found them eventually!

And had a great time

Morgan, in typical Morgan fashion, got jealous and climbed in as soon as sissy was done!

Not quite as comfortable as she once remembered though

This is love!

An Amazing Journey

I can't believe that it's already been 2 years that we have been married.  It's amazing how life works, how you can meet someone (at a gas station!) and just think "hey that guys kinda cute" and then God works his magic and intertwines your hearts forever.

I'll be the first to admit that the last 2 years haven't been easy, but with a lot of hard work and a lot of growing up I'm more in love with you today than I was 2 years ago.  I can't even begin to express how blessed I feel everyday when I walk through my front door and see you and our beautiful girls.  How it makes my heart feel like it will explode with love when I see our girls playing with their daddy.  I love how you stand next to Bailey's bassinet and sing and rock her to sleep when she fusses.  I love how guitar time and dancing with daddy has become Morgan's absolute favorite thing to do!

I love our simple, crazy, little family!
