Thanksgiving

What an absolutely amazing Thanksgiving!  It started off a little bitter sweet because Bogus got enough snow to open today so Jeremiah had to work.  At first I was upset, of all days to open did it seriously have to be today?  I stopped myself though, how long have we been waiting for this job?  This was a blessing, and although I would have loved to have Jeremiah with us all day, seeing Morgan's face light up when her daddy got home made up for it a hundred times!

Today I'm grateful for amazing family, incredible friends, great food, happy, healthy babies, and more love in my life then I could ever ask for!  I truly am blessed!

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

Don't Forget About Me Mom!

Tonight I let Bailey try out her exersaucer at Grandma's house and I think she enjoyed it!

She got a little confused at first and lost her arms

Don't worry though, she found them eventually!

And had a great time

Morgan, in typical Morgan fashion, got jealous and climbed in as soon as sissy was done!

Not quite as comfortable as she once remembered though

This is love!

An Amazing Journey

I can't believe that it's already been 2 years that we have been married.  It's amazing how life works, how you can meet someone (at a gas station!) and just think "hey that guys kinda cute" and then God works his magic and intertwines your hearts forever.

I'll be the first to admit that the last 2 years haven't been easy, but with a lot of hard work and a lot of growing up I'm more in love with you today than I was 2 years ago.  I can't even begin to express how blessed I feel everyday when I walk through my front door and see you and our beautiful girls.  How it makes my heart feel like it will explode with love when I see our girls playing with their daddy.  I love how you stand next to Bailey's bassinet and sing and rock her to sleep when she fusses.  I love how guitar time and dancing with daddy has become Morgan's absolute favorite thing to do!

I love our simple, crazy, little family!

Things That Make Me Smile

Tiny toes

Big bellies

And tie dye shirts

Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back
to normal after you've had a baby..... somebody
doesn't know that once you're a mother,

'normal' is history.

How To Raise a Child

Build self-esteem first, and the house later.
Finger-paint more, and point the finger less.
Do less correcting and more connecting.
Take your eyes off your watch, and watch with your eyes.
Take more hikes and fly more kites.
Stop playing serious, and seriously play.
Run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
Do more hugging and less tugging.

Just one of those nights...

Definitely had one of those nights tonight...

1.  Decided to make Morgan breakfast for dinner..pancakes and eggs...yum!  I finished cooking everything before I realized that we don't have any syrup..I guess it's time to go grocery shopping..one of my least favorite things to do!

2.  Got Morgan fed and into the bathtub and she had a great time but it all went downhill from there.  I got her out of the tub and grabbed her towel off the hook and the hook fell off the wall...

...this used to be a scale..not so much once the towel hook got to it.

3.  Morgan and I stare at the broken scale and the glass all over the floor for a few minutes...the whole time Morgan is yelling "oooh NO!!!" and pointing at the scale...and then without looking at what I'm doing I grab her toothbrush and turn on the faucet and completely soak the diaper that I was going to put on her (because diapers are cheap so I like to waste them every once in a while...).  I still have no idea how it ended up in the sink :/

4.  And then Morgan did this...

...she wanted to put on every headband we own!  She kept grabbing headbands, handing them to me, and saying "Up! Up!"  Which for some reason she thinks means "put this on me"...She makes everything bad disappear!
